Heaths and Heathers
I'm entrenched into creating a whole new world for two characters living in Oxford. They are in Sisters of the Moon. I've always had the idea for a pair of florists called Heaths and Heathers who are undercover investigators. Their shop looks like heaven, but since it's almost Christmas, the shop windows have to reflect, warmth, wreaths and lush greenery. Here's a picture that I drew of what I thought it would look like.
This is what I pictured it would look like inside.
How cool does that look? I actually saw a florist in town that looked very much like what I thought it would. :)
Heaths and Heaths are Silver Heaths and Rain Meadow Heathers. Their shop is in Oxford. It is on the High Street between a fudge shop and a pasty shop.
Silver and Rain have a very cool look. They love 70s fashion and they use it to stand out on the busy High Street.
This is exactly how I imagined they would look like. :)
They provide each guest with tea in fine bone china.
It looks similar to this.
Underneath it all, as investigators, their lives are dangerous. I'm working on that part and will share more with you when I do. I hope you've enjoyed this and I'll blog again soo. xoxo
Writing Sisters Of The Moon
Sometimes it's hard to write, and other times the words flow freely. Sisters Of The Moon has taken me a longer period of time to write. I'm still working on it and one day I will finish it.
As a writer, the pressure to complete a book can be immense. These are the questions I get asked, It's been over a year, why haven't you finished it ? Do you have writer's block? Me: Nope. Do you ever get writer's block? Why do you write? Are you sure it's your passion? The questions keeping coming. You know what? I just give them a big F U and move on. It's not always easy.
As long as I keep moving forward, I know that I'll eventually finish it and start the next one. There is a lot of advise for how to keep writing a series of books, even the infamous sequel. It's true. It is harder to write a sequel, but you know what? Who cares about what people think. Just keep writing a word after another word and you'll get there. I know I'll get there.
I have given myself a time period and started tracking my word count. This helps me keep on top of my overall goal. Halloween is the day I've chosen to finish it. It's a good stretch of time and I know I can get there.
I haven't blogged recently. I've been working on other exciting things that I will blog about another time. I hope you've enjoyed this one. xoxo

The Girls
I recently finished reading the book The Girls by Emma Cline.
I found it dreamy, heady and very human. The words swept me away into the mind of Evie Boyd as she got carried away and entranced by the girls at the ranch and Russell, the centre of everyone's attention. Sex, drugs and incense in the summer of 1969, the ranch was buzzing with rumors. Under the blazing California sun, things were not as they seemed and she starts to feel uncomfortable.
It starts a little slow, but keep going and you'll find yourself sucked in.
Have an amazing day. xxx

New Year
Hello! How are you?
It's been a while since I updated my blog. I was going to do it at Near Year's Eve, then maybe a week later. It's February and I'm excited to finally blog. :)
I've carried on with Sisters Of The Moon. A couple of new characters have made their way into it. They are Silver and Rain, twins who have set up as Florist in Oxford. But is that all that they are? Apparently not, because things start off with a bang, literally. I'll leave it at that for now while I write more.
I've been reading a new book and I'm very excited about it. It's Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman. I'm reading up on Thor at the moment, my man Thor, can't get enough of him. Ha ha! Not much more to say on that. I have to say that it is dreamy and sucks me right into it.
I'll leave the blog here for today. Tell me more about you. What have you been up to? How are you turning your dreams into goals?

Fear
Hello!
It's been a while since I've blogged. I hope you're well.
This year is a getting over my fears year, which always seemed ridiculously scary. Once I have conquered each one, I felt stronger and braver.
What the hell am I talking about? Anyway, I can't believe November is almost over. Christmas is around the corner!
Sisters Of The Moon is coming along slowly. I'm back on it again, and I'm sure I'll catch up sooner than later. I'm aiming to finish the first draft before Christmas Eve. I'm so excited! :)
I'm going to leave it here for now.
Have a great evening! xxx
